8th Grade Science
I attended Troy ISD schools all my life, graduating from Troy High School in 2004. After high school, I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, TX! I am a member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2008, WHOOP!
I have a Bachelors of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Ecology and Management. Upon graduation from TAMU, I decided I wanted to become a teacher. I subbed in the Troy schools while I was completing my alternative certification through A+ Texas Teachers. I am certified to teach any subject in grades 4-8, however my passion is teaching Science.
I attend workshops in the summer that allow me to continue to enhance my science teaching methods. I have previously participated in the Texas Regional Collaborative of Math and Science for 7 years that was 100+ hours of professional development completed within a year.
I am the 8th grade Science teacher, here at Raymond Mays Middle School. I am entering my 9th year with Troy ISD as well as my 13th year in education. In addition to teaching, I am also the Cheer Sponsor at the Middle School as well as Assistant High School Powerlifting Coach.
I landed my 1st teaching job in 2010 at Moody Middle School where I taught 7th and 8th grade Science for 4 years.
