At the February board meeting, the Troy ISD Board of Trustees approved the district's Academic Calendar for the 2024-2025 school year.

The development of the 24-25 calendar relied on input and feedback from multiple groups, including parents and staff members. The District Educational Improvement Committee (DEIC) submitted features they wanted to see in the calendar, while balancing state requirements that include instructional minutes, student holidays, and other dates. 

Feedback from the DEIC narrowed down the number of options from four to two and both Troy ISD staff members and parents had the chance to vote on the two final calendar versions.

The board-approved final version is provided below. Highlights include:

• Teacher in-service begins on August 5, 2024 

• First Day of School - August 13, 2024

• Last Day of School - May 22, 2025  

• Christmas break is December 23 - January 7 (teachers return on Monday, January 6th; students return on Wednesday, January 8th)

• Bell County Youth Fair Days are February 3 – 7

• Spring Break is March 10 - 14

• Graduation TBD

• There are also extra instructional days built into the calendar to allow for potential weather events or unplanned early releases
