I grrew up in Pasadena, Texas and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1994. My began my undergraduate education at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. That is where I meet my husband and my my education followed him to Chicago, Illinois. I graduated there from Northeastern Illinois University in 2000. Since then I have pursued working on my Masters online through Grand Canyon University.
My degree is a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a Middle School Endorsement. I am certified in Social Studies Early Childhood through 8th grade, Language Arts, Early Childhood through 8th grade, and Special Education Early childhood through 12th grade.
Every summer I take a minimum of 30 hours of Professional Development on a variety of topics that I feel will benefit my teaching. This summer I took 50 hours relating to Special Education.
I began teaching for Troy during the 2018-2019 school year. Iwill be the Middle School Life Skills Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.
I taught one year in Chicago, Illinois before moving to Detroit, Michigan were I taught middle school for three years. I then moved back to Texas where I have taught Kindergarten, and fifth grade in Beaumont and Belton respectively.
I have been married to my husband Chris Browning since 1997. We have two wonderful boys that keep us busy. Both boys go to RMMS here in Troy and are involded in FFA, athletics and band. We live on a farm locally in Troy, that we love. We have way too many pets and animals to name. We love all our animals dearly.
