Welcome Students and Families

I will be the 6th grade social studies teacher for Raymond Mays this year. In addition to my responsibilities in the classroom I will also be a coach with our high school football team, our junior high boys basketball team, and our high school softball team! This will give me an amazing opportunity to interact with many students in Troy ISD and I feel so blessed to have this opportunity! With all these responsibilities I may not always be able to respond immediately but rest assured I will respond as soon as I can with a goal of being within a 24 hour window with the exceptions of weekends and holidays!

A little bit about me, I am from the Waco area where my family still resides. I am a graduate of Midway High School and two time graduate of Baylor University where I was blessed to get both my bachelors and masters degrees! I have been coaching since the winter of 2016 and have coached football (6-man and 11-man), basketball, softball, soccer and track & field). I have been teaching since fall of 2021 and have experience teaching US history. My teaching certifications include social studies, physical education & health, and special education.

Outside of coaching and teaching I am a member of Highland Baptist Church in Waco and work with the special needs and young adults ministry there. I will also be serving as the FCA sponsor for the Jr High this year and look forward to meeting even more students in this way!
